PaletteArt™ began in the studio, not as a concept, but as a practical response to excess. Surrounded by accumulated layers of dried acrylic paint from years of work, Lisa J. Levasseur found herself unwilling to discard the material. Instead, she began experimenting with it; cutting, layering, reshaping, and integrating it into paintings, sculptural surfaces, and functional forms.
What began as reuse evolved into a distinct visual language. PaletteArt™ embraces texture, physical history, and material memory; each work carries evidence of past gestures, colors, and processes layered into something new. The material itself becomes part of the narrative; visible, intentional, and integral to the work.
Over time, PaletteArt™ grew beyond technique. It became a way of thinking; about responsibility in the studio, about honoring materials, and about building creative systems that prioritize longevity over waste. This philosophy now informs not only Lisa's artwork, but the platforms she builds, the artists she supports, and the environments in which art is experienced.
